After first testing in April, YouTube Music is now widely rolling out lyrics sharing on Android and iOS.
Open the Now Playing screen to the Lyrics tab for a new “Share” FAB (floating action button) at the bottom. This takes you to a “Select lyrics” screen to tap and pick up to five lines of the song. (The selection will reset if you choose more.)
After tapping “Next,” you can choose from 10 different color backgrounds. The first option matches the background of the Now Playing screen. Meanwhile, the card you get features album artwork in the top-left corner with song name and artist. The bottom features a pretty subtle YouTube Music logo.
Once done, you can “Save image” to your device or directly “Share with other apps.”
Lyrics sharing is widely rolling out to YouTube Music for Android and iOS with version 8.24 for both free and paid users. More users have been seeing it in recent weeks. Force stop the app if you’re not seeing this yet.
